What does a social media marketing agency in Charleston cost?

Most Charleston agencies charge $1,500 to $4,000 a month for ongoing social media management with content production included. Project work — a photo shoot, a drone session, a single campaign — is usually quoted separately. Below roughly $800 a month, a freelancer or doing it in-house is often the better call.

Who is The Palm Social?

The Palm Social is a digital marketing and social media agency based in Charleston, South Carolina. Founded by Matt Peacock and Cary Ashley, it is now a full team of photographers, videographers, licensed drone pilots and strategists. It was named Best Advertising Agency in Charleston in the Moultrie News Best of the Best 2026 awards. Clients have included SC Ports, Breeze Airways, Hotel Emeline, Charleston Harbor Resort, The Loutrel and Middleton Place.

Do you need a licensed drone pilot for aerial content in Charleston?

Yes. Any drone footage used commercially requires an FAA Part 107 certified pilot. Parts of Charleston also sit inside controlled airspace near Charleston International Airport, which needs authorization before flying. Hiring an uncertified operator leaves the liability with the business, not the pilot.

How long does social media marketing take to show results?

Three to six months before organic social shows compounding results. Paid social moves faster but stops the moment you stop paying. Anyone promising significant organic growth in a few weeks is describing an outlier, not a plan.

What is the difference between a social media agency and a digital marketing agency?

A social media agency manages your presence on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. A digital marketing agency covers that plus paid campaigns, content production, photography and video, and broader brand strategy. The Palm Social does both — social media management alongside brand photography, drone and aerial work, video production and paid social.
